Photo of Jim Bartley --- Jim a PPL
employee has volunteered his services to
do our aerial work .... Like a NASA
astronaut he uses the PPL High Lift Truck
aerial arm to make electrical wire
attachments to the 75 foot flag pole at
Irving Park ... We apppreciate Jim's
service and we appreciate PPL for
allowing the use of its High Lift truck for
this project
As it stands now it takes about 4 hours to
attach the ornaments on our sparkle tree
and 2 hours to take it down on average ...
It wasn't done this year but in other years
since 1994 the services of the Allentown
Fire Department was used to raise the
Star on the 75 foot flag pole using their
High lift aerial ladder truck
